By train
Many portals have different information about flights from Tbilisi to Kutaisi. In reality there is only one direct train that arrives at the central railway station in Kutaisi (Kutasi I).
All other trains reach the station Rioni from which you still need to get to the center by cab, on a passing minibus from the central road or on the minibus number 3, which runs once an hour. Distance Rioni – the center of Kutaisi is 10 kilometers.

Take a train from Tbilisi to Rioni station and from there to Kutaisi.

By bus
There are direct buses from Tbilisi to Kutaisi from the City Bus Company, which stop near the Youth Park in the city and near the Kopitnari Airport. There are also passing buses from Metro Georgia that stop near the airport. All buses are new and comfortable, with free WI-FI, TVs and a steward.
- Place of departure: all buses leave from Ortachala bus station (Tbilisi, Gulia Street 1). In addition, City Bus stops for boarding near Mari market near Digomi Park.

By minibus
The Tbilisi – Kutaisi minibus is the most common mode of transportation in this direction, because it runs very often and stops at the right place in the city center and at the bus/railway station (Kutaisi II).

Although the airport in Kutaisi is not small and accepts international flights, there is no direct air connection to the capital.
