There are several direct flights a day from Tbilisi to Tskaltubo, but all of them are in the afternoon, so the arrival time is quite late. For this reason, many tourists use an alternative option or transfer.

Alternative option
If the schedule of direct minibuses Tbilisi – Tskaltubo does not suit you, you can use an alternative option. To do this you need to get to Kutaisi by one of the ways in this article, and then it all depends on the place and time of arrival:
- Minibus #34 leaves every 30 minutes from the bus station, but when boarding, be sure to check if it goes to Tskaltubo, as the same number is used by the Kutaisi minibus.

Information
This small town was once called the All-Union health resort, where there were many sanatoriums and as they said “cured everything”. Of course this was an exaggeration, but many diseases were really cured.
In post-Soviet times the resort lost its popularity and most of the health centers became abandoned. Today Tskaltubo as a balneological resort has been revived, and old sanatoriums have been turned into modern spa complexes.
Now those who want to cure their ailments, take radon or mud baths, and simply improve their health come here.
